Where two great Indian craft traditions meet in one extraordinary drape. This saree is born from the joyful tie-and-dye art of Bandhani — a tradition rooted in the deserts of Kutch and Rajasthan — overlaid with the meditative stitch-work of Kantha embroidery from West Bengal. The result is a saree that carries the spirit of two different lands, two different hands, and centuries of shared devotion to craft.
The warm Tussar silk base erupts in sunlit yellow Bandhani bursts across the pallu, while delicate Kantha cross-stitches trace intricate patterns across the body and border — a dialogue between colour and line.
The Hands Behind It
Bandhani is practised by Khatri artisans who tie each tiny knot by hand before dyeing — a process that can take days for a single saree. Kantha embroidery is done by women artisans from rural Bengal, who stitch running patterns using simple needles and threads, drawing from folk motifs passed down through generations.
When you wear this saree, you carry the labour and love of artisans from two different corners of India.
