Pink Dabu Kota Doria is not just a saree — it is a piece of living craft. Each metre carries the rhythm of two ancient Rajasthani traditions — the open check-weave of Kota Doria and the mud-resist Dabu block printing of the desert craftsmen. The soft blush pink Dabu print on the naturally translucent Kota Doria weave creates a saree of extraordinary delicacy — like wearing something between fabric and air.
The Hands Behind It
Kota Doria weavers have produced this distinctive cotton-silk check fabric for over three centuries. Dabu printing uses a paste of clay, lime and gum applied before dyeing — creating the characteristic watercolour-soft edges that are the signature of this craft. Every block is hand-carved from wood, every dye is prepared from natural sources like pomegranate, myrobalan, and madder root.
When you choose this saree, you are directly supporting these artisan families and keeping centuries-old traditions alive.
